Julie's Graduation pix

I know you are going to find this crazy! I actually already found Julie's graduation pictures!!! My camera at the time was horrible - but the pictures are priceless! And mostly I can tell it's my beautiful daughter! Only a few pix so only a one page layout! Keeping in the same green and blue theme (nothing with their school colors at all), this page will coordinate with Brian and Susan's pages.

Monthly Card Clubs

After a month off from my Card Clubs - it was great to see everyone! A few ladies were not able to make it - but - we had fun none the less, and we missed them all terribly!

The cards were a little time intensive this month (hey!!! I did give them a month off :~})!!! But they were fun and they all turned out lovely. And they learned a new technique too!

Here is a picture of the cards we made. They were all very simple cards to make with lots of coloring.
One of the ladies mentioned that we were like a group of kids - 'hand us color crayon and we stop talking' - so funny, but we did seem to get very quiet while doing our coloring. But that's what made it fun too!

The patriotic card is our new stamp set 'Land of the Free' - a portion of the sale of this stamp set goes to the USO - how cool is that. And it's also the card with the new technique!
The stars on the left side of the card were made by inking an embossing folder and running it through the cuttlebug!  Pretty cool isn't it?   Love love love that technique!

I would love to show you how to do this technique the easiest way! You will love it.

Can you see the sparkle of the fireworks???

Happy Flag Day!!

June Stamp of the Month

I absolutely fell in love with this stamp set! The flowers can be made just about any color you want - just use your imagination. These flowers were embossed with black and I used water color pencils and the water color pen to color them. The two flowers in the back were stamped directly onto the paper, the one in the front was stamped separately, cut out then attached with foam dots to make it 3d (which is kind of hard to see in the picture)

If you would like to learn how this technique works - I would love to show you how.

FUN IN THE SUN - Blog hop!

Welcome to the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop!  The blogger in front of me is Jen Patrick- http://roxybonds-scrappin.blogspot.com so if you came from her blog you are on the right track.   The Stampers with an Attitude are all excited to show you a little Art with an Attitude, so here we go.

There are so many things that remind me of summer... and since that is the theme of my card clubs this month I just have to share a couple of the cards they will be making! Shame on me but I just couldn't help myself posting two pix.

The first card I made is all about 'Sunshine and Ice Cream'! What is more fun in the sun than that? The sun was made using Art Philosophy's 'star 1' using Honey and Sunny Yellow. The ice cream cone is made using an older stamp set but so much fun! Desert Sand cone, Honey ice cream. The ribbon is CTMH white gross grain stamped with "sunshine" using the "honey" pigment ink - how fun is that?

My second card has very little stamping but has just as much fun in the sun! The Ocean Beach and Spinners. I used Sky for my card base. When you tear the Juniper paper just right it looks like waves on the ocean then tear some Champagne cardstock for the sand. The spinners were made by using two 2 inch squares and one 2 1/4 inch square.

I had a lot of fun making these simple summer cards!

Why rush into things?? Right??

There are some things that should really not be rushed into! Apparently that was my thought on this layout! But - It's done! A few years after the fact, but done none the less. This was the day my handsome son Brian and his beautiful wife Susan graduated from Central Washington University. (Gosh maybe if I hadn't had the year put on the cake I could have gotten away with it?  :~})

What a wonderful day of celebration for both of them. They both are now very successful young professionals and we are very proud of them.

Now on to my next project; to scrap my daughter Julie's graduation - I just need to figure out what I did with the pictures? Help! Anyone?

This fun layout is the one that we did at our last Scrap Booking On The Go! class! What a fun evening with some great ladies.

Back in the swing of things

Well I'm hoping that I am back in the swing of things - I have been completely remiss on posting anything at all on my blog! Shame on me!!! Have I been busy? Good heavens yes! I am retired you know! LOL -
Seriously - I need to stay home long enough to blog!!! I visited my son and his lovely bride for a long weekend, then off to see my best friend in Wyoming - home for a short while then off to see my daughter and grandson's!
I think I might just stay home for a while - after all, I do need to get things ready for CTMH Convention in Orlando! That's coming up pretty fast! Very excited to be going with two of my partners in crime Christy and Karen, and we are meeting up with some other ladies from our group in Spokane, Crystal and Sheryl! We always have such a good time with them.

I did join a blog hop that starts this weekend - I thought to myself - self!! what better way to get your act back together! Be looking for it to begin on Sunday June 9 - Fun in the sun!

Have a lovely weekend,

See you soon! Thanks for stopping by!
